This virtual information session will be led by two Senior Editors of EBioMedicine. In this session, the speakers will present information about working in publishing career sector, the publishing process within the journal, including critieria of quality and types of manuscripts received, as well as discussing experience of transitioning from academia to publishing.
About the speakers:
Dr Pierre Nauleau is US Senior Editor of EBioMedicine. Before joining the EBioMedicine team in 2020, he worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University for 5 years. He completed his PhD in Physical Acoustics in 2013, developing an ultrasonic method of characterization of the mechanical properties of the femoral neck at Université Paris 6 – UPMC. His research studies focused on the development of ultrasound imaging techniques for the diagnosis of cardiac arrhythmias, vascular diseases and bone frailty. He previously attended the Ecole Normale Supérieure and, in 2009, passed the agrégation, as part of the competition for the recruitment of higher-level teachers in Applied Physics.
Dr Zhaodong Li is US Senior Editor of EBioMedicine. Before joining the EBioMedicine team in 2018, Zhaodong worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and UMass Medical School. He is enthusiastic about science communication and both basic and translational sciences that would lead to new effective therapies for human diseases. Zhaodong graduated with his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010.
